Affiliate Marketing Manager
The Affiliate Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the company’s affiliate marketing program. This individual will work closely with affiliates to ensure the program drives growth, revenue, and brand awareness. They will also track performance metrics, recruit new affiliates, and maintain strong relationships with current affiliate partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Affiliate Recruitment & Relationship Management:
- Identify and recruit new affiliates to grow the program: Sun & Moo has a large list of influencers we’d like to recruit, but the Affiliate Marketing Manager would also find potential people to recruit via Instagram mainly. The rest of the Sun & Moo team would also send this person potential candidates to add to their recruiting list.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing affiliates, providing ongoing support and communication.
- Negotiate commission structures, promotional opportunities, and partnership terms with affiliates: we currently have three different affiliate programs based on the influence and social power of the affiliate. Some top influencers will sometimes come onboard with certain demands that the Manager would have to work through.
- Regularly check in with top-performing affiliates to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
2. Campaign Development & Strategy:
- Develop and implement affiliate marketing strategies to meet company revenue and growth goals: this would include sending emails to affiliates about future promotions, marketing campaign ideas etc.
- Collaborate with the team to create affiliate-specific promotional materials (banners, emails, landing pages, etc.)
3. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze affiliate performance, tracking key metrics like traffic, conversions, and ROI.
4. Program Optimization:
- Continuously test and optimize affiliate programs, offers, and marketing materials to improve conversions.
- Implement best practices to increase affiliate engagement and improve the user experience for affiliate customers.
5. Commission & Payments Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely payment processing for affiliates based on performance metrics.
- Track and maintain accurate commission structures and payment schedules.
- Resolve any issues related to payments, performance discrepancies, or disputes.
6. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure affiliates comply with the company’s policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor affiliate behavior to prevent fraud or unethical practices, such as cookie stuffing or spamming.
7. Training & Support:
- Provide training and resources to affiliates on how to promote the company’s products/services effectively.
- Offer ongoing support and guidance to affiliates to help them optimize their marketing strategies.
8. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., customer service, social media, email marketing) to align affiliate efforts with overall company goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor programs to ensure the company’s affiliate program remains competitive.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., Google Analytics, affiliate tracking software).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple relationships and prioritize tasks effectively.
